In Ukraine, Russian missiles raining on Kyiv's sleeping citizens underscore the brutal, irreversible cost of aggression. The rubble of apartment buildings, the grief of families, the desperate calls from Zelenskyy's government — these demand not mere declarations of solidarity but sustained international resolve and material support for a nation that has chosen freedom over capitulation.

Iran's massive funeral processions, meanwhile, highlight the human toll of regional conflicts that have been brewing for decades. The death of a Supreme Leader does not erase the structural tensions of a region in flux. If anything, it opens an unpredictable new chapter that Pakistan, as a neighbouring state with deep ties across the Muslim world, must watch with intelligence and strategic clarity.

At home, Pakistan faces its own reckoning.
